Package Drying for Meat Processing

Our self-contained conveyor drying system is designed originally to dry water from tray packaged pieces after a hot water shrink tunnel. Removing all the water prior to weighing means accurate weights and no lost time due to having to dry and reset the scale. Dry packages mean labels won’t crinkle, wrinkle, slip, slide or stick to the package above. Inkjet codes never smear on dry film. The modular self-contained drying conveyor fits in a six-foot space between the shrink tunnel and the labeller. The system integrates the air knives and blower into one unit featuring a variable speed drive designed to prevent product crowding at the scale. What began as a custom solution to drying poultry pieces in tray packs has evolved into a versatile product line capable of drying kielbasa to whole wrapped or unwrapped birds to packages or hotdogs.
